Unable to download Definitions in VIPRE Antivirus/Internet Security
We have recently stopped issuing Definition updates to legacy software, including VIPRE Antivirus and any version of VIPRE Internet Security below version 9.3. If you are using a version of VIPREolderthan version 9.3, please use the steps below to update to the latest release.
Please be sure to retain your VIPRE Product Key as you will need it to install. If you don't have your key, you can find it in your currently installed application:
- In VIPRE Antivirus, click the 'Help' button on the top-left corner, then choose 'Register". Your key will be displayed.
- In VIPRE Internet Security, click the 'Account' button at the top of the page. Your key will be displayed on this page.
For Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11:
1. Click on the following link to begin the installation: Download VIPRE Advanced Security
2. The download will begin somewhere on your screen. In most browsers, it will be on the bottom-left, or top-right corner. Choose the 'Open File' option, or click on the file name to open it.
3. You may get a prompt to "Allow the program to make changes to your device". Choose 'Yes'.
4. Enter your Product Key, then click 'Agree And Continue" to begin the installation.
For Windows XP/Vista:
1. Click on the following link to begin the installation: Download VIPRE
2. The download will begin somewhere on your screen. In most browsers, it will be on the bottom-left, or top-right corner. Choose the 'Open File' option, or click on the file name to open it.
3. You may get a prompt to "Allow the program to make changes to your device". Choose 'Yes'.
4. Enter your Product Key, then click 'Agree And Continue" to begin the installation.
