We have recently become aware of an issue where the most recent update may fail to install properly. If you have attempted to install this update and it failed, resulting in your VIPRE not functioning, please follow the steps outlined below to correct the problem. A complete removal and reinstall of VIPRE will resolve the issue.
First Remove VIPRE
NOTE: Do not use the “Remove and continue” option during the VIPRE install. It is strongly recommended that you uninstall any existing antivirus applications before installing VIPRE. Please click here for instructions on how to uninstall applications in Windows 11.
Please use the steps below to completely remove VIPRE from your computer:
1. Make sure you have a copy of your VIPRE Internet Security or VIPRE Advanced Security Product Key BEFORE removing VIPRE from your computer.
2. Click on the following link to download the VIPRE Removal Tool: Download VIPRE Removal Tool
3. The download will begin in your web browser. Click on the download and choose Open or Run.
4. Choose Yes on the window that says “Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?"
5. Click the "Remove VIPRE" button and the computer will restart.
6. After the computer restarts, choose Yes on the window that says “Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?"
7. VIPRE has been removed.
Second Install VIPRE
Please use the steps below to install VIPRE:
1. Click on the following link to begin the installation: Download VIPRE Advanced Security
2. The download will begin in your web browser. Click on the download and choose Open or Run.
3. Choose Yes on the window that says “Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?"
4. Enter your product key in the boxes provided and the installation will begin.
